How does Reiki work?

 How does it work?

A reiki practitioner acts as a channel for the universal life force energy. The energy doesn’t come from the practitioner, but beyond them as guidance from the highest intelligence of all.

Reiki is a very high vibrational energy which means it can flow over, into and through anything, including solid matter. This allows it to work holistically on the whole person: physical body, chakras and different layers of aura (energy field), mind consciousness, emotions and spirit.

What Happens during  a treatment?

The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is a very simple process. The recipient simply lies on a couch and relaxes. There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki will pass through anything, even plaster casts. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body.

As it flows into our physical body it helps by:

  •  Breaking down energetic blockages or disruptions on a physical, emotional and spiritual level
  • Clears and balances our energy centres (known as Chakras).
  • Opens up our meridians (energy chanels) allowing the flow of life force energy (Ki) to flow freely around the body.
  • Stimulates and accelerates the body’s own healing ability.
